Start your morning with freshly brewed hot coffee or tea as you watch the meadow, river and forest awaken from the privacy of your cabin. Take in the sweeping views from your deck, vaulted great room or explore 28 private acres. At nightfall, gather at your campfire ring to soak up the moonlight and watch the fire fly light show!

Enjoy the Fireside Patio featuring a 6 person hot tub next to a glowing wood burning fireplace. Relax and unwind before walking the pathway to the plush lodge pole bed awaiting in your cabin.

Make some memories with family and friends and plan a canoe or kayak trip on the scenic Cedar River. We can customize your trip for your group's particular needs. Charles City offers excellent golf courses with great values. In addition to golf and disc golf, the area offers excellent fishing, bicycling, swimming, boating, lawn tennis, cross country skiing, dog sledding, and more. Be sure to plan some time to play at Charles City Whitewater Riverfront Park. Rent an inner tube to immerse yourself in liquid relaxation to lazily float and play in the waves!

In winter, the river and groomed trails provide great access to hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails in the area. Bring your snow shoes as 28 acres provides space to explore while the kids enjoy good old fashioned sledding on our hills.  Try cross country skiing on groomed trails at the Fossil & Prairie Parks or Wildwood Golf Course. 

Perhaps the local culture and history interest you? Check out the Charles City Arts Center, Mooney Art Collection, Charles Theatre, or Floyd County Historical Museum~the birthplace of the tractor. A short day trip in the country will lead you on a discovery of Floyd County’s Barn Quilts, Fossil & Prairie Park or Little Brown Church in the Vale.
