At the end of December we spent 2 nights in The Eagle's Nest. It was a surprise trip my husband had planned for our 42nd anniversary. We arrived after dark and I was pleasantly surprised when we entered the 'cabin'. The 'cabin' was immaculate and breathtaking, what I’d call “rustic luxury.” We both love the birch wood furniture throughout the cabin. My husband had asked Lorraine where he could order flowers for me and they were sitting on the table in the living room when we arrived. It was a gorgeous arrangement! Thanks, Lorraine! The living room held the unique excitement of an eagle sculpture that looked like it was flying out of the log wall. As we sat in the warmth of the fireplace, we talked and enjoyed the view of the snow-covered trees and the untouched snow through the front windows. If we had been there longer, I would have loved using the reading nook on the second floor. Our stay was much too short! When we left my husband told Tom how much I enjoyed the surprise stay and Tom said it sounded like Steve hit a ‘Homerun’. Steve told him it was better described as a “Grand Slam”! I have told many people about it and advised them to take a trip and spend some time there. We hope to return for another stay when we can enjoy the Fireside Patio, warming up on a chilly summer night! Do not hesitate to make time to stay at the Red Cedar Lodge. This is a treasure hidden in the woods of Floyd County!

The McBride family wants to take this opportunity to let you know how very pleased we were with your Lodge. The accommodations are second to none and the hospitality shown to us all was wonderful. We can honestly say everyone had a great time and will keep you in mind for future visits. We will also spread the word about your Lodge to others we know who are looking for a nice weekend getaway. Thanks again for a lovely place to stay and enjoy.

We booked all three cabins for christmas presents to our children and their families last Christmas. We stayed there in the fall, this year. It was a great time had by all and we hope to make it an annual affair. Tom & Lorraine were great hosts and the cabins were amazing! They are also centrally located for the family.

We just returned home from staying in the Eagle's Nest cabin, and we're already planning our trip back! We enjoyed every minute. It is one of the most beautiful places to wake up in the morning! Every hour of each day was so relaxing, and our kids thoroughly enjoyed every second! You have sure thought of everything! THANK YOU!

My husband and I were at the Red Cedar Lodge during the building and development by the Winterinks. We plan on returning soon to enjoy the wonderful hospitality of Tom and Lorraine, two talented people. We can't wait to see their project completed and to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the Red Cedar Lodge.

"We rented the Moonlight Bend cabin for my wife's birthday. What a pleasant surprise. We stay at many timeshares and cabins and this was by far the most immaculate we have ever seen. The quality of the cabins is second to none and the hospitality of the hosts made our stay extra special! We are already planning when we can come again and share this with family and friends."
