Guidelines

  • Visiting Hours:  Visiting hours of the Lodge are 8am to 10pm.  If a visitors stays overnight, additional rates apply.  Snowmobile visitors coming off the Cedar River are not permitted on the property unless prior arrangements have been made with the Red Cedar Lodge.

 

  • 1 Night Stay:  In certain instances, our reservation system will allow a 1 night stay.  No parties of any size under this reservation. 

 

  • Protect our Wood Floors:  No high heeled shoes please and be careful of your coolers.  They damage the wood floors.  Please remove shoes when entering our cabins and keep outdoor furniture outdoors. 

 

  • Rental of Entire Red Cedar Lodge Property:  Please call so we may help you schedule your special event.  

 

    • Outdoor Special Events:  An outdoor special event can be held for groups when renting all 3 cabins. 15 or more total visitors is considered a special event. There is a ground fee of $150 for special events. Maximum number of visitors is 30 people. During a special event, additional restrooms may be needed and the cost of rental is incurred by the guest. Guests are responsible for additional trash bags and paper towels.  Visiting hours for outdoor events is 8 am to 10 pm. In respect for our neighbors, outdoor music must end at 10 pm.  Please note that the hot tub is closed during outdoor special events.   

     

    • Indoor Special Events:  The maximum occupancy for an indoor special event is 15 people total (guests + visitors) per cabin.  If more than 15 people attend the special indoor event, a rate of $150 will be applied.  Maximum people for an indoor event is 20 total.  Visiting hours for a special function is 8 am to 10 pm. There is no fee for an indoor special event for 14 people or less. Guests are responsible for additional trash bags and paper towels.

     

    • Combined Indoor/ Outdoor event:  If an event is planned using both outdoor and indoor facilities, please call the lodge in order that we can help you make arrangments.  Please note restroom, hot tub and visiting hours outlined in Outdoor Special Events.  

     

    • Maximum Occupancy:   Eagle's Nest maximum occupancy is 8 guests.  Sunrise Ridge and Moonlight Bend maximum occupancy is 10 guests per cabin. Visitors must be accompanied by a registered guest.  Registered guests are responsible for their visitors and their actions while at Red Cedar Lodge. Visiting hours for non-registered guests is 8 am to 10 pm.

     

    • Smoking: The interior of all buildings at Red Cedar Lodge are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted on outdoor cabin decks and the Fireside Patio. Please dispose of materials in a proper container.   Smoking is not permitted on any other areas of the grounds as a fire prevention measure. 
       
       
    • Decks:  Please keep our decks free of wheel devices such as scooters, bikes or skateboards.  Please do not participate in certain games that could damage our decks.

     

    • Canoes and Kayaks:  For group canoe/kayak day trips and shuttle up river, there is a $40.00 fee per cabin. Life jackets and paddles are provided. In order to provide good service and properly accommodate you, please give us a 1-2 day notice for shuttle service. Canoes and kayaks are not available for use during special events or on the day of check-out. 
     
    • Minimum Stay:  A 2 night stay is required during peak season which is May 1st to Labor Day weekend. A 2 night stay is required for all weekends.  A 2 night stay and the weekend rate is applied for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.    

     

    • Check-in & Check-out: Check-in time is 4 pm. If you anticipate a late evening check-in, please call us to make special arrangements. 
        Check-out time is 11 am.

     

    • Snowmobiling:  Please keep snowmobile covers out of the cabins.  As a courtesy to all guests, please stay on walking trails and roads only to access the local snowmobile trails.  
       
    • Grounds Guidelines:  Campfires are allowed in designated campfire rings only. Glass containers must be kept in cabins or on the decks. Glass is not permitted at the Fireside Patio.  Children must be supervised on the property.  No rock throwing please. Fireworks are prohibited on the property according to state law. 
    •   
    • Pets:  All accommodations at Red Cedar Lodge are pet free. If you need a kennel, you may call Lime Kiln Road Kennel at 641.732.1171 for in-home boarding in Osage.   Pets must be current on their innoculations. 
    •  

    • Housekeeping Service:  Cabins receive limited housekeeping service upon request for fresh towels (9am - 5pm).  Please place trash in the trash can for pick up. Please load and run the dish washer upon departure.  There are no laundry facilities available on site.  However, there are two very nice laundromats in town.                                                                          

       

      • Special Requests:  Please let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion. We can help you find the services you may require for your visit such as florists, caterers or massage therapists. 
      •  

      • Hot Tub:  Hot Tub is for the use of registered Red Cedar Lodge guests only.  We suggest that you bring beach towels from home if you plan to use the hot tub.  Glass is not allowed at the Hot Tub.  Children must be supervised at the Hot Tub area. Watch your kids around water!  For safety reasons, the hot tub is closed during special events.
         
      •  

      • Damages:  Red Cedar Lodge reserves the right to charge guests for damage to property.
      •  

      • Cancellations:  If you cancel less than 14 days prior to your scheduled time of arrival, there is a cancellation fee of $250.  If you cancel prior to 14 days of your scheduled arrival, there is no cancellation fee.
