Canoes & Kayaks
Our trips are wildlife and scenic float trips that provide a relaxing and quiet ride down the Cedar. Guests have many times report floating with eagles as they often fly with you down river.
Our canoes, kayaks and shuttle van are available exclusively for Red Cedar Lodge guests. (See pictures below). We provide transportation up the Cedar River to different put-in and take-out sites and can customize a trip to the needs of your group. Length of trips available are:

Setter Landing 6 miles 2 hours
T38 Bridge 10 1/2 miles 3 hours
Osage Spring Park 14 miles 5 hours
The pick-up location for the above trips is West Idlewild Park. Please click on the route map tab and zoom in for a closer look. To provide the best service and properly accommodate you, a 2 day notice is needed. The cost for shuttle, boats, paddles and life vest is $15 per person. Canoes and kayaks are not available for use on the day of check-in or check-out. Shuttle operation is open May 15th to September 30th.
